Annual Meeting

• The VSRT is going back to two-day annual meeting beginning with the 2010 Annual Meeting. It will rotate between Roanoke and eastern Virginia every other year. This will enable the VSRT to establish ongoing relationships with hotels that can significantly contain costs for both the VSRT and its members. These areas have major facilities that can meet the needs of the VSRT and is willing to offer the VSRT “loyalty” rates. Rotating between the eastern and western portions of the state will mean that the Annual Meeting will be arriving in an area more accessible to individual members on at least an every-other-year basis.
• The number of category A credits offered at the Annual Meeting will reamin at 6 credits per day for a meeting total of 12 category A credits.
• Due to the decrease in the number of VSRT Affiliate Districts and the narrowing of the Annual Meeting locations to two, there will no longer be a “host” district for the Annual Meeting. The Board will continue to appoint the Annual Meeting co-chairs who will work in cooperation with the Conference Managers. At least one co-chair for each Annual Meeting will be a member of the VSRT Board of Directors.

 District Seminars

• Because many District Affiliates currently hold one or more of their own One-day Seminars, the VSRT will support local Districts by offering them the opportunity to publicize their seminars in The Electron and on the VSRT Web site at no cost!
