Daughter – Brooke (16) I live in beautiful, rural Nelson County on a small farm. In addition to the cattle, we have a black lab named Hank, a black cat named Snowball, and a black & white cat named Pebbles. I am employed by Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville. However, I physically work at the Martha Jefferson Outpatient Care Center in the Mammography Dept. I have been with MJH for 16 yrs. and work as our departments Lead Mammography Accreditation QA/QC Technologist. I graduated from the University of Virginia’s Radiology Program in July 1987. Since that time I have worked at UVA Medical Center; Hi-Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree, CA; Mary Washington Hospital in Fred’burg, VA; Pratt Medical Center in Fred’burg, VA; and as I have already mentioned am now at MJH. I currently serve as your VSRT President. In the past, I have served in many other roles not only within my now inactive district, but, the VSRT and am currently serving as one of the nationally elected Mammography delegates for the ASRT and as Vice Chair of the Mammography Chapter. My other community services include, serving as a planning committee member and team captain for the Ch’ville Relay for Life, serving as Exec. Director for the Miss Nelson Co. Pageant, Miss Virginia Dogwood Pageant (A Miss Virginia Prelim) and the Miss Belle of Virginia pageants, I am an adult leader with the Nelson County 4H program where I most actively do the planning for our Jr 4H camp & serve as Co-Director of Girls. I am also a Girls in Action leader (for girls 1st -3rd grades) and Adult Choir member in my church. Last but certainly not least I am the Varsity and JV Cheerleading Coach for Nelson County High School. |
