WHO ARE RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGISTS?

Radiologic Technologists are members of the health care team who provide direct patient care. They may create images of the human body to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. These images may be created using x-radiation, radioisotopes, sound waves, or magnetic fields. Some Radiologic Technologists provide radiation treatments and are called Radiation Therapists. All radiologic science professionals work under the medical supervision of a physician.

  • You may attend a two-year hospital based program, a two-year associate degree program, or a 4-year baccalaureate degree program.
  • Educational programs combine classroom education, laboratory practice and clinical education.
